Midwest emo, indie og alt-country fra unik nykommer
Med skranglete gitarer, glitrende midwest emo-riff og en unik blanding mellom både indie-folk, emo og til tider alt-country, har F.B.T funnet veien inn i norsk undergrunn. Nykommer-redaksjonen i GAFFA (2026) beskriver F.B.T som "en artist som lager musikk med upåklagelig finesse, og kjenner landskapet godt nok til å vite akkurat hvor mye lo-fi støv, hjertesorg og tidsriktig estetikk som trengs før det hele treffer rett i brystkassa. Tekstene tar for seg tunge tematikker, men den bæres av en artist som fortsatt virker å lete etter lysbryteren i rommet."
Når man er inspirert av alt fra Tony Rice til Mineral, Joni Mitchell til Pavement, Gucci Mane til Larry Sparks og alt i mellom, så må det bare bli unikt - og det har det blitt. Med bare fire låter ute har F.B.T allerede etablert seg som en sjelden og lovende skikkelse i norsk undergrunn, og debutalbumet som er på vei peker på en utvikling videre i samme retning. With jangly guitars, glittering midwest emo riffs and a unique mix of indie folk, emo and at times alt-country, F.B.T has found his way into the Norwegian underground. The editorial team for new music at GAFFA (2026) describe F.B.T as “an artist making music with an impeccable finesse, and knows the landscape well wnough to know exactly how much lo-fi dust, heartbreak and timely aesthetics needed before the whole thing hits you right in the chest. His lyrics are filled with heavy themes, but are born by an artist still seeming to look for the light switch in the dark.”
When inspired by everything from Tony Rice to Mineral, Joni Mitchell to Pavement, Gucci Mane to Larry Sparks, and everything in between, it just has to become something unique - and it truly has been. With only four singles released F.B.T has already established itself as a rare and promising figure in the Norwegian underground, and his debut album on the way points to an evolution in the same direction.
