Brutal støyrock svinger mellom det ufiltrete og delikate
Fuzzycat Organ Quartet er rein intens postpunk / støy. De smuldrer injene mellom konfrontasjon og katarsis, de leverer en lyd som er like vill som den er finstemt. Inspirert av band som Viagra Boys, Idles og Deerhoof, kollapser FOQ sine fuzzvegger inn i tighte, knusende rytmer mens vokalen svinger mellom rå, ufiltrerte utbrudd og øyeblikk med delikat, nærmest skremmende kontroll.
I Januar ble de kåret månedens band av GAFFA som uttalte at “musikken og vokalisten føles som en åpenbaring” og at “musikken er morsom, søt og brutal på samme tid”. I fjor ga de ut sin debut EP “Fuzzytracksvol.1” og mottok god kritikk for live-showet sitt som forsterker musikken, og gjør hver konsert om til no kroppslig, uventet, og fullstendig i live. Det er kaotisk, ømt, og umulig å ikke bevege seg til.

Fuzzycat Organ Quartet is intense postpunk/noise. Blurring the line between confrontation and catharsis, they deliver a sound that’s as feral as it is finely tuned. Inspired by acts like Viagra Boys, Idles and Deerhoof, FOQs walls of fuzz collapse into tight, crushing rhythms while the vocals swing between raw, unfiltered outbursts and moments of eerie, delicate control.
In January they got named band of the month by GAFFA, saying “the music and the vocalist feels like an epiphany” and that “the music is fun, cute and brutal at the same time”. Last year they released their debut EP “Fuzzytracks vol.1” and gained praise for their live shows that amplify the music, and turn every set into something visceral, unpredictable, and completely alive. It’s chaotic, it’s tender, it’s impossible not to move to.
