Music & Tech: What’s Next?

Presentert av: Buzz

In a moment when the music consumption and experience is evolving faster than ever, we bring together two pioneers at the intersection of music and technology. Erlend Hausken and Christian Shultz, music-tech entrepreneurs and founders of the social music app Voisey (acquired by Snap Inc.) and AI-mastering platform Masterchannel, explore where the industry stands today, and where it’s heading.

They will cover:

  • How people use music today: from streaming and gaming to user-generated content and the rebirth of single-purpose devices

  • Key trends: from TikTok-hooks and AI to the superfan economy.

  • What comes next: How will music experiences and business models evolve?

The music industry has moved far beyond linear album-to-radio-to-streaming. Now users are more participatory, platforms are faster, formats shorter — demanding new rules for artists, labels, tech players and audiences. And AI is no longer just looming in the distance, it is here and perhaps the biggest shift in music ever. Erlend and Christian bring experience from music and AI, from startup to exit, and offer rare insight into the role of technology and the role of the user in music’s new ecosystem.

Erlend Hausken:

Co-founder and CEO of Voisey (acquired by Snap Inc. in 2020), a social music platform for producers, singers and rappers that quickly became one of the fastest growing engines of new original music in the world, breaking new talent around the globe.

Erlend Hausken is an award-winning media strategist and creative brand developer. He has served as global director of marketing communications at Opera Software and has advised some of the world's biggest brands and companies, from Microsoft and McDonald's to PepsiCo and Adidas. His work has been covered by The New York Times, TIME Magazine, Wall Street Journal, CNN, Times of India and Tech Crunch, to mention a few.

Christian Ringstad Schultz:

Co-founder and CEO of Masterchannel, a music tech company working on making high-quality mastering more accessible, scalable and artist-friendly. He’s deeply involved in how technology is reshaping production workflows, creator tools, and the way music finds its listeners.
