Music in video games

Thursday 09.11 \\ 14:00 \\ Galleriet \\ ENG

Using music in video games is a great opportunity for composers, producers and artists. Some examples are Fieh, Musti and Kygo, who are among the Norwegian songwriters and artists who have had their music placed in "FIFA", or Christine Hals who has composed music for major games such as "League of Legends", while Aurora has held longer concerts in a separate world built around her music in "Sky - Children of the light".

But how do you get your music synced to games? How can you get commissioned as a game music composer? What do you have to keep in mind, and what should the agreement with the game producer look like?

In this panel, you will hear from both those who create the music and those who handle the rights associated with it. You will get tips and tricks for how you should work to get in touch with game producers, and learn more about the composers specifically working to adapt the music to the games.
